Excerpt from Antiquity Calais and the Wrath of the Cryptids

I just wrote a scene in Antiquity Calais and the Wrath of the Cryptids which I have selected to be the clip I include on my profile at NaNoWriMo to serve as a teaser for the rest of the book. Thought I would share it with all my blog, Facebook and Google+ friends. Enjoy it!

While they were waiting for the other members of the team to arrive, Antiquity, Gillian and the twins continued to discuss what th...ey may need to make this a success. Gabe suggested it would be good to have some sort of laptop or tablet computer, so they could keep tabs on any other news that may develop while they were out in the field. Antiquity thought that was a good idea, and congratulated Gabe for it. Antiquity knew that people in the surrounding booths were watching them after Sherman’s sudden arrival, so if laptop computers magically appeared before them, he was certain it would be noticed. So instead, he imagined laptops with carrying cases appearing down under the table, next to each person’s feet.

“Cool!” Gabriel said, reaching down to grab his case, which he then pulled up onto the table. The others followed suit.

At the table directly next to them, the man sitting at the table said to his female companion, “OK, I didn’t see them come in with laptops.”

Antiquity overhead that comment, and he looked at Gillian, then said, “Hey, did ya hear that? Watch this.” He then turned to the couple, and, looking the man directly in the eyes, he said, “I am the Creator’s Liberator, sworn to vanquish Satan’s Destroyer. I am here to rescue the world from the cryptid clones.”

The man and woman both smiled, then both jumped up and said, “Check please!”

As they ran away from the table, Antiquity and the others roared heartily.
